NCAST Fall Educational and Business meeting of 2010

Our NCAST meeting is drawing closer and we have a great list of speakers.  Currently, you can now make your reservation for the meeting at the Marriott Courtyard Chapel Hill.  The rate will be $129.00 per night for Thursday 11/11/10 and Friday 11/12/10 night.  The check in time will be 3:00 PM and check-out time will be Noon on Saturday.  Remember the dates of the meeting will be on Friday and Saturday - Nov. 12 and 13th.

Reservations may be made in  2 ways:

1)      You may call the hotel directly at 919-883-0700 or 800-321-2211.  You MUST ask for the NC Association of Sleep Technologists Block when you call in for your reservation.

2)      You may also go to the website:  www.marriott.com/RDUCH 

Group Code:  SLESLEA for a room with one king bed and SLESLEB for a room with two queen beds.

Reservations received after Sunday, October 10, 2010 will be provided on a space available basis and may not be extended the group rate.  All guests must identify themselves as a member of the Group to receive the Group Rate.

Our Fall Meeting will be Friday, November 12^th and Saturday 13^th at the Friday Center in Chapel Hill, NC.  We will be limited to the total number of participants; however, we are in the process of exploring different options for continuing education credits and will keep you posted.  Please stay tuned for any updates. We have a great list of speakers including Chief Legal Counsel from the NC Medical Board for our legal updates pertaining to our legal responsibilities and many great physicians and educators.  We plan to have a minimum of 10 topics.  Our theme this year is as follows:

“New challenges in sleep – meeting everyone’s goals-          Review of guidelines in each area and goals for each stake holder”

This year we will be planning a social on Friday evening immediately following the last speaker of the day at the Friday Center including light snacks and adult beverages.  This provides a great opportunity for everyone to meet each other and network within the sleep medicine field.  In addition, we will block rooms at the Marriott so there won’t be any need to travel to socialize and network with your fellow sleep advocates.  Please mark your calendar and make plans to attend now.   Please make sure to have your 2010 Membership Dues paid as soon as possible.  You can pay on line with Paypal or you can download an application and mail it in to the address listed at the top of the application  page.  Your dues help make these conferences possible and the sooner we receive your dues, the better we are at making advance plans.
