The North Carolina Association of Sleep Technologists (NCAST) was formed to organize the sleep community of North Carolina, to promote education and training, raise standards and awareness for Sleep Professionals and support efforts to maintain Polysomnography as a separate and distinct profession, upholding the RPSGT credential as the leading worldwide credential for Sleep Technologists.

NCAST supports the AASM, AAST, and BRPT's position on licensure of Sleep Technologists with their own independent Board and strives to establish a cohesive voice for Sleep Professionals in the State of North Carolina.
